[Position Summary] The job (Senior Operation Manager) is to build and sustain partnerships and collaborations with both internal teams and customers, conducts consistent performance discussions with customers to ensure transparency, and foster strong relationships for contract logistics in the North (NOA) cluster. This includes achieving assigned business plan by generating profitable EBITA with managing contract logistics services, such as warehousing, transportation, and value-added services, by promoting innovative and digital solutions to enhance operational efficiencies and productivities, maximizing value delivery, and by collaborating closely with customers and immediate superior in budget formulation and financial monitoring.
The role involves effective contract administration, regular reviews of service scopes, and the leadership in new operational deployments by utilizing experience and expertise for risk mitigations.
He/she would also proactively spot areas for service improvement for customers, design and execute initiatives and processes within purview, and seize the initiative to identify new business opportunities to facilitate growth.
[Key Accountabilities]
• Manage, develop, and grow the contract logistics businesses with working across functional management team. • Manage all customer relationship, and lead & manage multiple site operations. • Analyze customer’s supply chain and warehouse process to understand customer’s needs and propose prompt service and solutions. • Develop a well-structured organization that excels in delivering high-quality services and meeting customer expectations through operational excellence with ensuring efficient resource planning and performance management. • Drive both new business wins and implementation efforts, as well as foster organic growth and play a key role in building and nurturing strong customer relationships, collaborating closely with the commercial teams to identify and capitalize on shared opportunities. • Prioritize a "Safety First" culture, with a focus on occupational health, environmental sustainability, and quality standards.
[Safety Accountabilities]
• Commit to compliance with applicable HSSE requirement in the responsible fields / department. • Allocate adequate resources to eliminate / reduce identified HSSE risks to as low as reasonably practicable, and supervise the HSSE enforcement to get the desire result. • Influence critical HSSE behaviour expectations by demonstrating role-Model in the responsible field / department. • Deliver HSSE KPIs cascaded to the responsible field / department.
[Qualifications & Experience]
• A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. An MBA or other relevant postgraduate degree can be an added advantage. • Minimum 10 years in contract logistics, supply chain, or a related field, with a proven track record in managing large, diverse teams and handling complex logistics operations. • Deep understanding of contract logistics, supply chain management, warehousing and distribution, and transportation management. • Familiarity with the contract logistics sector in South Korea and Japan and knowledge of local regulations and market dynamics is essential. • Demonstrated proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage conflicts, and make strategic decisions. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise with different stakeholders, including customers, staff, and senior management. • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to manage operational issues, logistical challenges, and business strategy. • Strong project management skills including planning, execution, and monitoring of operations.
