About the job
A member of the SAF Korea and the International Marketing Department, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for organizing, editing, and managing the marketing activities of Study Abroad Foundation (SAF) across all Korea language assets and platforms - including the website, social media channels, electronic digital mail (EDM) campaigns, and brochure and print publications - as well as virtual and in-person event coordination. This includes ensuring content on the SAF website is up-to-date, maintaining branding, style, and voice, writing and managing advertising, email marketing content, search engine optimization, and analyzing results for continued optimization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain the SAF Korea website as the chief content owner, coordinating amongst internal stakeholders across APAC and the United States
- Create and post advertisements for recruitment seminars, application deadlines, and other relevant events across all SAF digital platforms
- Generate marketing materials for Korean home university partners to generate awareness of local events, study tours, and programs on campus
- Oversee SAF Korea digital marketing activities, including email marketing, and social media across Naver, KakaoTalk Channel, Instagram, YouTube, Issuu, Facebook, and others
- Manage the IES Abroad Seoul Instagram account
- Run the SAF Korea Student Ambassador / Student Correspondents program, including recruiting minimum of 10 students per semester, incentivizing, coordinating content creation, and posting and resharing content on SAF Korea channels
- Coordinate all elements of SAF Korea virtual and in-person events, including webinars, seminars, and conference participation
- Manage the transcreation and production of SAF Korea printed materials, including the yearly Global Programs brochure, university posters, and other pamphlets and brochures as designated
- Manage and implement monthly analytic reporting of marketing platformsSupport with the writing, editing, reviewing, and/or updating of all content associated with SAF Korea
- Ensure all digital content adheres to SAF’s preferred consistent brand tone and messaging
- Work closely as part of the web team across the United States, Australia, Korea, Japan, and China within a designated work flow of content authors, reviewers, and publishers to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of all web content
- Ensure Korean language content posted on the SAF website is search engine optimized (SEO) and keep up with SEO-related trends and best practices to implement across the siteIntegrate videos, blog content, and other social media outlets into the website where possible to optimize their exposure
- Develop and maintain a content calendar for SAF Korea social media, digital email campaigns, and print campaignsCommunicate with departments to update or remove content from website
- Develop and execute plans to drive growth in followers of SAF’s social media platforms
- Manage the creation, writing, and deployment of email marketing
- Develop, manage, refine and improve taxonomies and glossaries to maximize user experienceImplement online marketing campaigns, including both paid and unpaid (organic) advertising, to drive traffic and follower growth and engagement
- Ability to coordinate with numerous external vendors and partners such as printers, graphic designers, influencers, and advertising partnersCoordinate and integrate with sales team colleagues
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience writing, editing, and developing targeted online marketing/communications
- Proven exceptional Korean writing, spelling, grammar, and editing skills
- Web content management system experience strongly preferred
- Social media management experience strongly preferred
- SEO experience strongly preferred
- Ability to grasp and understand website tonality
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail and deadlines
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across time zones
- Ability to write toward target audiences, both for online content and emailsAbility to think outside the box
- Native level Korean; Confidence in spoken and written English
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or related field or equivalent work experience
