Job Title: Korean English Interpreter/Translator

Language on Demand, Inc. (LOD) is a government contracting firm located in Northern Virginia (United States) that offers a full range of language translation, interpretation, bilingual staffing, and related services.

Location: Within 150 km of (1) Commander Fleet Activities Chinhae, (2) Camp USAG Humphreys (Pyeongteak), (3) Kunsan Air Base, (4) Osan Air Base, (5) Busan Naval Base, Republic of Korea (6) Virtual

Travel Required: Limited local travel to interpretation locations

Schedule: As needed on a per-project basis

Description: LOD is seeking an experienced and qualified linguist to provide Korean interpretation and translation services to support VARIOUS U.S. NAVY, MARINE CORPS, ARMY AND AIR FORCE BASES AND FACILITIES THROUGHOUT NAVFAC FAR EAST AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide in-person language interpretation (consecutive, simultaneous, escort) from English to Korean and Korean to English
· Provide telephonic/virtual interpretation between English and Korean
· Interpret and/or translate technical and legal language pertaining to contracting, engineering and design, utilities, real estate, legal documents and discussions, market research, land surveys, general business, etc.
· Some in-person interpretation assignments may include on-site written translation services

Qualifications:
· Possess native-level fluency in Korean (spoken and written) and fluency in English (spoken and written)
· Minimum of 3 years of professional simultaneous interpretation and translation experience
· Minimum bachelors’ degree with relevant educational background
· Possess the ability to capture and convey language register and cultural nuances to the target language reader/audience

Requirements:
· 2-hour minimum
· 48-hour cancellation

Compensation:
· Please submit your On-site/Virtual KR ENG Interpretation rate per hour & day by filling out the below .

KR -> ENG / KR <-ENG
On site Interpretation XX won (per Hour)
XX won (per Day – 8 hours)
Virtual Interpretation XX won (per Hour)
