Position:

MAN Energy Solutions Korea is looking for an experieced Material Manager for its Purchasing Department. An Material Manager provides inputs to business projects and category management by identifying standardization, supplier enablement, operational purchasing and regional procurement process opportunities. To be successful as an Material Manager you should be able to multitask and communicate with multi-stakeholders in your daily work. Exceptional Material Manager should be smooth negotiators with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

# Issuing purchase orders within the frame work of the strategic production plan for current business. 

# Maintaining MRP master data in SAP.

# Updating and maintaining system records of all orders. 

# Coordinating with the shipping team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.

# Ensuring all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner.

# Work with European Offices to follow up and ensure timely receipt and proper quality of orders.

# Comunication support to European Offices and local suppliers.

# Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.

# Support to sourcing personnel to conduct product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors.

# Organizing procurement with focus on optimization of the internal communication among master data, sourcing and planning

# Develop warehousing, stock control, dispatch and logistics standard procedures 

Qualifications:
# Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, mechanical or a related field may be required.
# Professional background in purchasing or relevant filed. (+4 years)
# Experience at the engine manufacturers or ship yards preferred.
# Proficiency in the relevant management software programs. (SAP preferred)
# Solid understanding of supply chain and inventory management system.
# Superb written and verbal communication skills in English.
# Great organizational and planning skills.
# Excellent networking and time management skills.
