Description

In the role of a Principal Engineer within the Signal Integrity group you will be
responsible for completing tasks on time and solving short and long term
problems.
You will be part of a technical group, responsible for improving SI/PI
performance,
completing production design analysis, and measurement and
characterizing.
This role will be working with customers and engineers across multiple sites,
California US, Europe and Asia Regions.
You will be reporting to the Signal Integrity Sr. Director within the Design
Organization.
The Signal Integrity group is responsible for :
ㆍModel/design power distribution on PCBs, packages, connectors and
probe cards
ㆍModel/design high-density I/O's on PCBs, packages, connectors and
probe cards with respect to parameters such as reflections, bandwidth,
and crosstalk.
ㆍProvide, document and train the Design Organization on design constraints,
specifications and solutions to PCB and package layout based on
Signal Integrity
ㆍSupport probe card development activities in the Design group
ㆍImprove Design Organization’s understand of Signal Integrity fundamentals
resulting in shorter cycle time and higher quality product |
Requirements
|
ㆍ2+ years relevant work experience with at least 1+ of those years mainly
focused on SI/PI work
ㆍBS or MS in Electrical Engineering is required
ㆍSelf-motivated with the ability to work well with others in a team environment
ㆍFamiliarity with electronics components and PCB and packaging technologies
ㆍExperience with signal integrity design with emphasis on power and signal
distribution at PCB, packaging, and/or system level
ㆍExperience with simulation and design tools such as: PowerSI, ADS, HFSS, SPICE,
Allegro, Matlab.
ㆍExcellent analytical, design, and debug skills
ㆍGood verbal and written communication skills |
