Job Description Summary

We operate in two groups: The Engine Group develops air management strategies and products to optimize engines for fuel efficiency, reduced emissions and enhanced performance. BorgWarner’s expertise includes engine timing systems, boosting systems, ignition systems, air and noise management, cooling and controls. The Drivetrain Group harnesses a legacy of more than 100 years as an industry innovator in transmission and all-wheel drive technology. The group leverages this understanding of powertrain clutching technology to develop interactive control systems and strategies for all types of torque management.

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Buyer at our Power Drive Systems Changnyeong (PDS CN), Changnyeong, Korea.

In this role, and under direct supervision of the sub-components (Stampings/Laminations/frames/Powder Metals/Copper Wires/Chemicals/etc) for Starters, Alternators and eMotors.

Key Accountabilities

. RFQ & Supplier review/Negotiation/Sourcing works for new parts and design change for inhouse production as well as intercompany's
. Regularly communication with Global Commondity Manager(GCM) for responsible commodities
. Work with GCM for strategic commodities and follow global sourcing process
. Cost saving activities through yearly step down pricing(AIF), process improvement and resourcing, etc
. Monitorting responsible suppliers for financing status & reputations and support PC&L/Quality team
. Potential supplier survey and monitorying exist supplier competitiveness
. Managing floating price for raw materials/currency for responsible parts
. Supporting Sales team for customer request/survey
. Price managing at SAP for responsible parts
. Cost estimation for new business opportunities
. SAP user

Education / Experience

. Bachelor's Degree in engineering/commerce related is required.
. More than 8 years related work experience(in the automotive industry or other manufacturing industry and ERP system) and/or new recuit
. Must have good organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
. Preference to applicant with experience in the below
. Good English skill
. Good computer skills in Microsoft Office products.
