Job Description

Dow Consumer Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an Associate TS&D Scientist for C&E Electronics market to be located in Jincheon, Korea.

Key role of the Technical Support & Development (TS&D) is a technical support for customer with knowledge of industry applications and material technologies. TS&D needs to build a wide relationship with key customers and external partners and build technical strategies for innovative product solutions to be delivered to our customers. And deep knowledge in products and target industry applications are also important as well. Collaboration with other functions such as commercial, other R&Ds and global folks is also critical to this role to provide the right solutions to customers and explore new business opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• 7~15yrs prior experience in display panel (OLED, LCD and advanced devices) R&D or engineering. Experience in OLED panel and fabrication materials such as TFE, EL, dielectrics, etc. is highly required.

• Demonstrated full competence in multiple areas of technology or applications.

• Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

• Ability to successfully partner with team members and stakeholders  (sales, marketing, TS&D, R&D, regulatory, product stewards, etc) from multiple backgrounds

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to utilize internal and external network and understanding of multiple technologies to build partnerships with customers and co-suppliers for business growth and solving complex problems.

• Recognized internally and externally for technical expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of material and chemistry (experiences in display materials are required)
• Knowledge with various mechanical and electrical properties & measurement and those relationships with electronics assembly application
• Knowledge of process of display panel and assembly.
• Excellent in communication skills and teamwork with colleagues (domestic and international)
• Good ability to write technical documents like application/product training presentation and good technical articles
• Fluent English communication with great ability to write technical documents like application/product training presentation and technical articles.
• Frequent international travel
• Lab study capability: Able to work independently for the lab studies including test design, test performing, result data analysis and test report generation following safe working practices in lab
• Having enthusiasm and good ability to explore and learn new things

Education

Bachelors/ Masters/ PhD degree in Polymers, Materials, Chemistry, Electronics, Chemical engineering or related field or equivalent experience
