We are looking for a

Chemical Safety Specialist

Ulsan,Korea, Republic of (KR)

Purpose/Role of the Job:

As country chemical safety specialist to ensure chemical (products, byproducts, raw materials and etc) management in Korea to meet all kinds of regulatory, group, customer and other requirements. Streamline GHG management at all sites in Korea in order for higher cost efficiency under supporting of sustainability projects. Integration of SHE and Energy Management system in order for maximization of business operational efficiency in Korea.

Chemical management (Inventory control: registration and notification of a new chemical substance to relevant authorities prior to producing or importing the substance, MSDS and others)

Product stewardship, the responsible and ethical management of the health, safety and environmental aspects of a product throughout its total life cycle

SHE management system (ISO45001/ISO14001/ISO50001),

Emergency preparedness and response plan including business continuity plan (Crisis management plan).

Incident investigation and root cause analyses,

Key Result Areas:

Chemical management....Reliable business operations in Korea under full compliance with legal regulations on chemical management

Product stewardshipDevelop and implement relevant written SHE procedures and update accordingly....Ensuring compliance to product stewardship in the responsible region

SHE system and sustainability program management..Maximization of business operational efficiency in Korea

Required profile:

Level of education & Knowledge:

Bachelor degree in chemical engineering / industrial safety & hygiene / environmental engineering

Experience in general:
Minimum 5 years of experiences in chemical process & similar field under SHE task.
Product stewardship of chemical products

Technical skills:
Auditor/Lead auditor certificate of ISO 14001
Knowledgeable in REACH/HAZOP/PHA/SIL and PSM
Fluent in written & spoken English
