□ Job Description

< Marine Architect / Designer >

Marine architect / designers can work with a range of vessels including ships, ferries, submarines and yachts.

1. Assessing project requirements and researching feasibility

2. Planning and supervising the construction of vessels

3. Negotiating and agreeing project budgets, timescales and specifications with clients

4. Producing detailed designs of ships, boats and other maritime vessels using drawings and specialist computer software

5. Developing and utilizing test procedures including computer modelling and scale models

6. Interpreting and analyzing data and test results

7. Sourcing and purchasing components, equipment and materials

8. Ensuring adherence to appropriate health and safety legislation/standards

9. Identifying the need for, and supervising, vessel repairs

10. Writing reports and documentation

11. Giving presentations

12. Undertaking relevant research

13. Supervising junior staff

14. Providing technical advice

15. Answering queries from clients.

□ Job Requirements

1. More than 15 years practical project delivery experience

2. Experience with offshore living quarter preferred
3. Immediate start
