JOB DIMENSIONS • The Sr. Account Manager will be responsible for the Industrial Adhesives sales activity in the General Assembly market segment. Sales in this area are in multiple market sub-segments and a diverse set of industrial customers and applications such as home appliances, electronics and filtration. • Customer mix will include large multinational corporations (eg. LG, Samsung), and smaller, privately held companies. • This position will be responsible for maintaining and developing strong customer relationships to facilitate a flow of information regarding the specific strategic direction of the customers as well as an understanding of their position in the marketplace.
ACTIVITIES • Develop and maintain key relationships with assigned region Accounts and prospects through: Customers’ visits/calls, Organization of customers’ events and Participation to relevant trade/association meetings. • Maintain an understanding of all the key contacts for each account. This includes Corporate Sourcing plus the Customer’s Business, Marketing, Production, and Research Organizations. • For the identified Key Accounts, develop, maintain, and implement Key Account plans that will support the annual plan for the business. • Implement price and volume strategy for assigned accounts. • Negotiate contracts with support from the appropriate Business Director and/ or specific market focused Regional Business Director. • Ensure product delivery through coordination with Supply Chain, reconciliation of invoicing issues, and becoming a proactive manager of the collection process. • Ensure field intelligence gathering and provide relevant account information back to the business ( both local and global when appropriate. Detailed call reports and maintaining a territory specific SalesForce.com data base is necessary. • Develop a customer by customer monthly and annual sales forecast. • Make recommendations to facilitate maximum utilization and coverage necessary to meet annual sales goals.
ACCOUNTABILITIES • Responsible for performing assigned role in a safe manner and complying with corporate and local all safety policies. • Providing regular status reports on customers/markets as required. • Involvement in preparation of annual budgets and 5 year plans for the Korean Industrial Adhesives business. • Deliver on annual sales budgets for specific product lines. • Ensure regular interactions and good relationship management with customers, call planning and preparation, prospecting for new sales. • Responsible for the development and implementation of specific customer strategies. • Participation in the Korean (and where appropriate, Asia regional) pricing strategy development. • Responsible for the implementation of the Korean pricing strategy. • Execute a process that improves reliability of the delivery of the forecasts by account. • Document and provide valuable competitive sales and marketing information to the Industrial Adhesives team. This includes knowing the overall market size with an estimate of share by producer for like products as well as competitive alternatives to Bostik Industrial Adhesive products in the focused area of responsibility. • Utilize budget of travel and promotion in most effective manner while maintaining necessary level of interaction by account.
REQUIREMENTS• Bachelor’s Degree in science, with commercial experience needed to understand the technical, financial and economic aspects of the job. • Post graduate degree (MBA) is a plus. • 5+ years experience in sales and/or marketing. • Good time management and organization skills. • Good interpersonal skills, presentation skills, negotiating skills. • Develop and execute Key Account Plans: tactics, assignments, rationale, due dates, deliverables. • Demonstrated success in contract negotiation, closing a deal/sale, finding new sales opportunities and bringing ideas forward that may add value to the overall company. • Ability to identify, understand, and responds timely to customer needs and desires within the context of Bostik’s account goals; Ability to interact with all levels of customer personnel, from counter up to Business leaders. • Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. SAP training to be provided if necessary. • Self-motivated and able to work effectively within a team environment. • Able to cope with a travel schedule that may have you on the road 35%-40% of the time.
