The Area sales manager (ASM) is responsible for the Delonghi Group sales development within his/her region, in all distribution channels. The ASM implements and executes the brand marketing activities following the Delonghi Group Korea commercial strategy.
Principle Accountabilities: 1. To execute the brand marketing and commercial strategy in store. 2. To manage the brand promoters and supervise their performance. 3. To manage the product listings and follow up the execution and implementation in stores. 4. To analyse the competition offers and elaborate relevant benchmarking actions. 5. To build great business relationships with the clients. Main Responsibilities:
1. To execute the brand marketing and commercial strategy in store. Manage the brand marketing execution at store level and ensure the brand corners are maintained and organized in the best way. Ensure product display presence, with all relevant marketing materials, like displays, stickers, tags, etc… Animate the sales by in store commercial initiatives, merchandising, promotion and in-store events Report the product listings to ensure that new product are presented in store quickly and in the right way at the right place. Handle daily business jobs 2. To manage the brand promoters and supervise their performance Deliver sales target for stores of the region with promoters Manage the presence, focus and priorities of the promoters. Communicate to the promoters their objectives and coach them to improve their sales performance. Identify the promoter’s needs for product training and organise the training session with the Demo and Training Supervisor. Analyse promoter’s sales reports, set up their sales targets and validate their sales incentives. 3. To manage the product listings and follow up the execution and implementation in stores. Execute the go-to-market strategy for New product launches and in-store excellence Develop in store initiatives to gain share Supervise the organisation of in-store event. Ensure right marketing execution and brand displays presence in stores. 4. Analyse the competition offers and elaborate relevant benchmarking actions Visit retail shops to get channel dynamics that includes competitor’s activities Seek further opportunity to improve market presence
5. Build a great business relationship with trade partners: Visit and meet regularly the stores and meet the vendors, retailers, and buyers. Build a great business relationship through inter-personal skill Prioritize objectives and handle the customer meeting in a professional way. Negotiate orders with direct customers. Report and follow up the agreed actions with the customers.
WORK ALLOCATION, REVIEW AND APPROVAL: 1. Review and agree work priorities with Sales Director 2. Visit customers within the designated area. 3. Prepare weekly visit reports.
PLANT, EQUIPMENT, VEHICLES AND TOOLS: 1. Company car 2. Standard Company Laptop Package
CONTACT WITH OTHERS: 1. Within De’Longhi Kenwood Korea: other BSM, Area managers, Marketing team, back office, Logistics,… 2. Outside the Company: Customers, stores, promoters, YCM… KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: 1. Organised, precise, take care of the details. 2. Strong sales skills with basic marketing knowledge 3. Excellent interpersonal skills 4. Know SDA category, technical products. 5. English proficiency is advantage
