Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated Property & Casualty Underwriter to join our P&C division. The successful candidate will 

be a team and service oriented individual with a positive attitude, who will contribute towards growing a profitable book of 

business by making sound underwriting decisions and providing excellent service.

Responsibilities:

Develop and underwrite various risks by analyzing the client's business operations to determine risk exposure

Negotiate pricing and terms with producers including agencies, brokers and cedents

Focus on sustainable profitable growth, while achieving new business objectives and maximizing retention of existing renewal book

Support and collaborate on marketing activities to expand retail channel

Work closely with other P&C underwriters and Data Analytics to continuously improve work processes and procedures

Research in industry trends, navigate new business opportunities and contribute to future product development

Qualification:

University graduate as new entry level or with minimum 4 years of Property & Casualty Lines experience (underwriting, marketing, loss adjusting)

Strong marketing, communication and negotiation skills

Ability to create positive and collaborative working relationships

Self-motivated to learn new knowledge and market trends

English, both spoken and written

PC literate, especially Excel
