POSITION TITLE:             MARKETING DIRECTOR

LOCATION:                           KOREA

 

 

1) Summary of Position

 In charge of all Marketing & Communications activities for IWC in the Korea with the aim to maximize brand exposure/visibility, and establish the brand’s leadership as the indisputable reference in luxury.

 

2) Activities:

 Management:

·         Efficiently trains and manages team.

·         Supervises all activities as defined in the planning (PR, media plans, events, trade promotions, product placements, seminars, trainings, PLV, press work, CRM, etc)

·         Manages team to perform in dealing with internal (Headquarters, Richemont) and external suppliers for communication material, and display materials.

·         Supervises team in the budgeting of all marketing and communication materials.

 

Marketing & Communications Planning:

·         Proposes and establishes marketing and communication plan in line with the overall brand strategy.

·         Independently implements the approved planning.

·         Constantly reviews the planning and evaluates success / achievement and proposes changes based on new evolutions in the environment.

·         Define & strictly optimize A&P budgets, CAPEX and Depreciation costs are respected.

·         Coordinates and supports business plan for Marketing & PR activities.

 

Press:

·         Maintains permanent and close contact with all relevant press (lifestyle, business, trade) to maximize exposure and opportunities.

·         Maximizes brand exposure (institutional coverage, product coverage, event coverage, interviews, etc.) and pursues qualitative execution (in-depth editorial, double page or more coverage, differentiation in angle of approach, etc.)

·         Supervises marketing & communication manager on editorial guidance and relationship building with press

·         Works with media agency / targeted media on media planning and execution

·         Works with qualified outside party for localized creative advertising work

 

Distribution & POS:

·         Coordinates with retailers’ marketing teams to develop optimize coop plans

·         Supports & advises commercial and retail departments in all POS related issues (promotions, PLV, etc.)

·         Supervises Trade Marketing manager in visual merchandising (decoration, PLV, Image counters / corners / boutiques)

·         Follows up the progress of BTQs & SIS with Trade Marketing manager.

·         Negotiate on SIS projects to optimize CAPEX and depreciation costs.

 

Internal communication:

·         Keeps close contact with relevant departments at Headquarters.

·         Works together with Wholesale and Retail department:

o   Contributes to training organization and animation (Information on Marketing & PR Activities, etc…)

o   Ensures proper support and participation in Monthly Management Meetings.

·         Keeps contact with regional and international subsidiaries:

o   Coordinate activities & exchange of best practices

o   Exchange information on product launch & performance

 

Public relations:

·         Responsible for Celebrity contact and related activities

·         Represents & promotes IWC in Local & International venues

·         Assist Sales Team and Retail Team in local events to interact with socialites and press.

·         Contribute to the creation of a VVIP database with direct contacts and in collaboration with all departments

 

Special Projects:

·         Oversees dedicated agencies for special activities & projects in relation with brand’s interest & activities

o   Events (Flagship, Product launches, VIP dinners, etc)

o   CSR activities and sponsorships

o   Marketing & Sales Seminars

o   Brand awareness projects (MBA Case Studies, Celebrity collaboration, Strategic partnerships, etc.)

 

3) Key objectives:

·         Develop Marketing & Communications strategy with the overall brand’s strategy.

·         Maximize brand awareness and uplift brand image.

·         Ensure A&P budgets, CAPEX and Depreciation costs are maximized.

·         Optimize communication flow between other departments.

 

4) Dimension:

Geographical responsibility:

·         South Korea.

 

5) Key relationship with:

 

Internal contacts:

·         Reports to IWC Korea Managing Director

·         Work closely with: Sales Team, Retail Team, IWC NEA, and IWC Schaffhausen.

 

Direct / reviewing manager: Managing Director

 

Number of staffs reporting to the position: 4
