1. 업무 및 자격 요건

Battery Reliability Engineer

Primary role of the Battery Reliability Engineer is to identify and manage risks that could adversely affect Honeywell SPS portable product’s battery designs. Work with all SPS Gold Business Enterprise (GBE) personnel to ensure activities are aligned with the customer use cases. Interface regularly with the new product development teams, service and repair, and quality.

Duties and responsibilities

Build and develop to evaluate battery designs within SPS portable products, recommended correct battery use cases and support product battery development process.

Empower and coach your team to deliver requested design solutions on time, on scope, and on cost targets. Contribute your technical experience first-hand when needed.

In depth root cause analysis of any and all battery issues, design, housing, chemistry, construction, etc..

Act as a sparring partner to your manager, your colleagues, and your team members sharing your broad expertise in batteries chemistry, design, construction and reliability

Develop best practices using state-of-the-art battery development processes

Involved in standard organizations concerning battery legislations.

25% domestic and international travel

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or Physics

7 years working in the area of Lithium or NiCAD battery chemistry

3 years of experience leading an engineering team

5 years of experience with battery charging & protection circuitry, battery technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

M.S. Electric/Electronics

Experience in managing a globally distributed team

Hands on, Team player, creative, out of the box thinker, organized, etc..

Ability to quickly acquire new technical knowledge

Ability to make the following process happen if presented with a challenging task:

- figure out the problem and/or audit the process

- evaluate alternate solutions and conduct a trade-off analysis

- develop a plan of action and get it approved

- build the project team

- implement the plan and resolve every problem along the way

Hands on, Team player, creative, out of the box thinker, organized, etc..

Expert knowledge in battery standard: UL 1642, UN 38.3, IEEE 1725, EN 60079-11:2012

Knowledge in battery chemistry; battery manufacturing; battery quality experience; failure analysis.

Experience incorporating advanced technology into new development platforms
