Senior Tooling Engineer - Asia |

ㆍBuild relationships proactively between tool makers and ConMet team.
ㆍUnderstand ConMet plastic injection molding tool standards, quality requirements and
ensure tool suppliers adhere to the requirements.
ㆍCoordinate and support the investigation, auditing, and qualification process for
potential new suppliers.
ㆍInterpret and train suppliers about the ConMet plastic injection molding tool standards.
ㆍSupport global tooling RFQ process for new tooling and design changes.
ㆍCoordinate plastic injection molding tool design reviews with ConMet tooling and
product engineers.
ㆍCoordinate and support tool design feasibility and mold flow simulation reviews.
ㆍReview and interpret mold filling simulations and cooling analysis.
ㆍSupport product engineering in the creation of CAD, such as 2D drawings from a tooling
and injection molding standpoint.
ㆍPartner with ConMet’s inspection/quality teams to ensure parts are inspected and
measured as per agreed methodology.
ㆍWork with plastic injection molding tool suppliers during qualification trials and approve
new tools for shipment.
ㆍCoordinate delivery of plastic injection molding tools to manufacturing locations.
ㆍCommunicate effectively with other project members with progress of scheduled projects
including maintaining relevant documentation.
ㆍMaintains awareness of the relevance and importance of activities and how each
contributes to achieving quality objectives. Understands the importance of ensuring
customer quality standards are met. Responsibilities may include
the selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives and related training,
corrective and preventive actions,
product design and development, capacity analysis, logistics information, customer
scorecards, and customer portals.

ㆍWorks safely and without injury.

ㆍresidents of Gyeonggi-do
ㆍBachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Mechanical preferred).
ㆍMinimum eight (8) years’ experience in plastic injection molding tooling required.
ㆍProven working knowledge of plastics materials, injection molding process and
equipment required.
ㆍExcellent English & Korean communication, including written and oral skills, required.
ㆍPC skills with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and Power Point) required.
ㆍExperience with various CAD programs including mold-flow analysis preferred.
ㆍExperience in automotive plastics products and quality requirements preferred.
ㆍMulti-lingual skills in Mandarin Chinese preferred.
ㆍProject Management skills/certification preferred.
